Main Responsibilities
- Analyze technical drawings and define machining sequences (manufacturing routings).
- Create and manage workflows within our ERP system (TSTracker).
- Schedule machining operations based on priorities and machine capacity.
- Estimate manufacturing times and validate delivery dates.
- Ensure material availability by coordinating with the purchasing department.
- Monitor shop floor progress, detect variances from planned times, and adjust the schedule as needed.
- Collaborate with the design team, foreman, and machinists to optimize execution and machining performance.
- Work with the estimating team to improve the accuracy of quotes and planned manufacturing times.
Ideal Candidate
- Experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent understanding of machining processes.
- Experience in mold making for plastic injection (an asset).
- Ability to read technical drawings.
- Educational background: Technical degree in Mechanical Engineering, DEC/Bachelor’s in Operations Management, or any other relevant field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Team-oriented with strong flexibility and adaptability.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage priorities and frequent changes.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite; knowledge of ERP
