At K&K Tool, we design, manufacture, and repair high-precision industrial tools, such as plastic injection molds. We are currently looking for an experienced machinist-mold maker to join our evening team in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.

Main Responsibilities
Precision Assembly: Perform the complete assembly of complex molds (fitting cavities, slides, and ejection systems).
- Manual Machining: Expertly operate lathes, milling machines, and grinders to carry out precision adjustments on mold components.
- Technical Drawing Interpretation: Accurately read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerance specifications (often to the thousandth of an inch).
- Mold Tuning: Perform functional polishing, spotting of bearing surfaces, and ensure perfect mold sealing.
- Diagnostics and Testing: Identify root causes of mechanical issues during testing and implement the necessary corrective actions.
- Maintenance: Ensure preventive maintenance of tooling and shop equipment.
Ideal Candidate
- Education: Vocational diploma (DEP) in machining techniques, industrial mechanics, or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in machining and mechanical assembly.
- Expertise: Specific experience in mold manufacturing or repair is considered a major asset.
- Skills: Attention to detail, precision, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a unionized environment.
